Integrated Manual Therapy
For years, I have been offering different modes of bodywork - therapeutic and orthopedic massage, Thai bodywork, cupping, positional release therapy, Craniosacral therapy and Somatoemotional release and more. For a while, I kept them separate, but as my dear yoga teacher Ame Wren would always say “the magic is in the mixing!” When you come in for an integrated manual therapy session, we’ll chat about how you are, how your body is doing, whether we want to really focus on a specific spot/injury, work more holistically, address the nervous system, etc. Your session will be some combination of the modalities below.
Orthopedic Massage
Orthopedic massage is targeted, site specific work. I work directly on the skin (no cream or lubricant) to work directly with the fascia. Not always pleasant, but often quite effective.
CranioSacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is like a massage for your nervous system. CST locates tension throughout the body and uses gentle manual techniques to release those problem areas and improve form and function of the central nervous system. CST can be profoundly helpful for clients with headaches and migraines, chronic neck and back pain, general stress and tension, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, TMJ, ADD/ADHD and learning disabilities, PTSD as well as for general health and wellness. CST sessions are done fully clothed (or can be added onto a regular therapeutic massage) and are generally extremely relaxing.
Therapeutic Massage
A therapeutic massage sessions is targeted to meet the client and their specific needs, from addressing a targeted injury or full body maintenance, but we still can do some deep work in these sessions! I will sometimes incorporate cupping in these sessions as well.
Thai Massage
A magical combination of acupressure points, rhythmic compressions, assisted stretching and joint mobilization along traditional energy line to help encourage greater ease of movement, balance and a deep sense of calm and relaxation. Great for increased flexibility, especially in the lower body.

“I turned to Danielle twelve weeks into a marathon training program, when a series of injuries jeopardized my ability to complete the program. Danielle saved me! Her deep tissue work got me to both the starting line and finish line, with all of my injuries resolved. She is a careful and skillful therapist, and a delightful person, as well.”
